Terms of Business
See our terms of business below, which cover what we expect of our patients, read them today:
1. General
a) Treatment plans are estimates and we will endeavour to inform you should the charges change once the treatment plan has started. Additional or alternative procedures will be carried out if essential and in the best interest of the client after obtaining the client’s consent.
b) Estimates given to clients will remain valid for a period of three months from the date of the estimate or as otherwise specified in the estimate.
c) We respectfully request that fees are payable before or on the day of treatment.
d) For large courses of treatment (value exceeding £1,000) we reserve the right to request full or partial payment of fees (if agreed with your dentist) before the day of treatment.
2. Methods of Payment
For your convenience we accept cash (up to £5,000), cheques (with a valid guarantee card), debit cards and credit cards (excluding American Express). For higher value treatments 0% finance is also available, please ask for details.
3. Interest
a) Interest will be added to accounts which remain unpaid for more than 30 days after delivery or posting to the client.
b) Interest will be at the rate of 1.5% per month calculated during the period from the date of one month after the date of delivery or posting of the account until the date of payment.
4. Unattended or Cancelled Appointments
a) As clinical time has been reserved exclusively for you, we require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel appointments. We provide text and e-mail reminders to the patients’ preference but we hold no liability for these reminders. (For more complex cases there may be longer notice required please – see full terms and conditions of your treatment plan).
b) Failure to attend an appointment or if insufficient notice is given, a minimum charge of £48 will be charged or 50% of the treatment fee.
c) To rebook the appointment, we reserve the right to request a deposit of 50% – 100% of the appointment charge, to be paid at the time of rebooking the appointment.
d) New patient appointments require a non-refundable deposit of £85, the appointment must be attended within 6 months from the date of payment. Rapid rescue appointments require a non-refundable deposit of £90 to secure the appointment, treatment required will be additional to this charge.
e) Membership of the practice lasts for a period of 24 months after your last examination appointment.
5. Returned Cheques
If a cheque rendered in payment of an account is for any reason returned unpaid by the client’s bank the client will pay forthwith on request the amount of any such charge or fee imposed by our bank and if not paid on request such charge or fee will be added to the client’s account.
